📌 Stage I (Period 1): Months 1 – 18

WP 1: Preparatory stage and building of an organizational capacity

Months 1 – 3

Participating Researchers: Assoc. Prof. Denitsa Uzunova, PhD; Assoc. Prof. Pepa Buzova, PhD; Chief Asst. Prof. Ventsislav Georgiev, PhD; Chief Asst. Prof. Olga Stefanova – Encheva, PhD; Chief Asst. Prof. Ilmira Ilieva, PhD; Ivelina Stoeva, PhD.

Tasks:

• 1.1. Distribution of responsibilities: First working meeting of the scientific team held to discuss and distribute activities; protocol of the meeting prepared; schedule for upcoming meetings prepared.
• 1.2. Administrative preparation: Preparing and signing contracts with all team members in accordance with commitments made; preparing an administrative folder with project documents, forms, and templates.
• 1.3. Facebook page creation: Creating an active Facebook page for the project, preparing visual design (cover and profile photos), sharing posts with information about the project, its objectives, team, and planned activities.

🎯 Expected Results: Protocol of initial working meeting, signed contracts, prepared set of internal documents, active Facebook page with basic vision, screenshots, or links.

WP 2: Design of the research and creating a theoretical framework

Months 4 – 12

Participating Researchers: Entire research team.

Tasks:

• 2.1. Literature review & questionnaires: Review of existing scientific literature (international and national) on work-life balance; developed questionnaires/interview guides consistent with project objectives.
• 2.2. Pilot survey: Implemented pilot sociological survey; collected and coded primary data; processed results; prepared internal analytical report with recommendations.
• 2.3. Institutional document analysis: Analysis of institutional documents; at least 1–2 papers prepared for scientific conferences or articles for referenced editions/open access editions; planned participation in scientific events.
• 2.4. Project website: Active project web page on institutional website; published information on objectives, team, planned activities, and key events; open access documents and links to social media.

🎯 Expected Results: Literature review reference, developed questionnaires, pilot study report, draft scientific publication/report, and active project website page.

WP 3: Preparation and conducting qualitative research

Months 9 – 18

Participating Researchers: Entire research team.

Tasks:

• 3.1 & 3.2. Tools & fieldwork: Developed qualitative tools (interviews/focus groups); participant selection strategy; conducting focus groups and individual interviews complying with ethical standards (informed consent, anonymity).
• 3.3. Equipment purchase: Preparing a request for the purchase of 5 laptops and 5 wireless mice according to public procurement conditions.
• 3.4 & 3.5. Data processing & round table: Processing qualitative data; identifying key themes; draft analytical texts; organization and conducting of a round table to present interim results.

🎯 Expected Results: Implemented qualitative research tools, completed focus groups/interviews, data analysis document, round table report, purchase of 5 laptops and 5 wireless mice.

WP 4: Project management within Stage I

Months 1 – 18

Organization and coordination of team members, project management activities, financial accounting, and preparation of Stage I scientific, financial, and audit reports.

📌 Stage II (Period 2): Months 19 – 36

WP 1: Conducting a representative stratified sociological survey

Months 19 – 30

Participating Researchers: Entire research team.

Tasks:

• 1.1 & 1.2. Survey execution: Consultation with external experts; final survey questionnaire approved; national sociological survey conducted across Bulgarian higher education institutions and BAS.
• 1.3 & 1.4. Data processing & public dissemination: Technical report and analysis; data inserted and processed according to scientific standards; visually adapted graphics/texts prepared for Facebook and website.
• 1.5. Scientific publications: Preparation of scientific publications for dissemination in referenced editions and/or open access editions.

🎯 Expected Results: Valid data collected, technical/analytical report, graphics and posts for social media/web, proof of Facebook activity, publications in referenced editions.

WP 2: Equipment of a room for a “Seminar Room to the Laboratory for Applied Academic Ethics”

Months 19 – 36

Participating Researchers: Assoc. Prof. Denitsa Uzunova, PhD; Chief Asst. Prof. Ilmira Ilieva, PhD; Chief Asst. Prof. Ventsislav Georgiev, PhD (and team).

Preparation and submission of a purchase request for room equipment (interactive display) following internal rules of St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo.

🎯 Expected Results: Equipped room suitable for conducting trainings, seminars, discussions, and round tables; handover protocols.

WP 3: Dissemination of results

Months 19 – 36

Participating Researchers: Entire research team.

Tasks:

• 3.1. Collective monograph: Preparation and publishing of a collective monographic study based on research results.
• 3.2 & 3.3. Closing conference: Organization and holding of a closing conference; program development, promotion, posters, and gathering paper submissions.
• 3.4. Conference proceedings: Publishing a thematic collection of scientific papers from the closing conference.

🎯 Expected Results: Published monographic study, closing conference held with evidentiary materials, and published proceedings collection.

WP 4: Project management within Stage II

Months 19 – 36

Coordination of team members, overall project management, financial accounting, and final scientific, financial, and audit reports.
